Data requested
Profile Data
We collect data that you provide to us when you set up your Kempaga account, such as date of birth, real name, email address and/or phone number, and password. You can add additional information to your profile, such as a profile picture.
Your contacts
If you choose to import your contacts or contact list, we will collect your device’s address book data. We use this data to help you connect with your contacts on the Platform when you use our send money, request money and withdraw money services.
Purchase Data
We collect your credit card, bank account, mobile financial service (MFS), or other third party payment information when it is necessary to recharge money or make payments. We also collect your transaction and purchase history.
Information when you contact us
When you contact us, we collect the information you submit to us, such as proof of identity or age, feedback about your use of our Services, or information about possible violations of our Terms of Service (our «Terms»), Community Guidelines (our «Guidelines») or other policies.
User Contact List Information and Contact Images
Kempaga uses the information you provide including the contact list and contact images to facilitate easy selection of your contacts within the application. It is important to clarify that the contact list and associated images will not be stored in the app's or server database. This permission is solely sought to enhance user experience by allowing seamless identification and selection of contacts. Rest assured, we prioritize user privacy and adhere to strict measures to ensure that your contact information is used exclusively for the intended purpose within the app.
Android ID
Kempaga may use the information you provide including the Android ID of the user’s device for security purposes.
NOTE
The data collected in Kempaga are only to provide a better experience to users within the application. These data previously described and mentioned are not shared with third parties. Kempaga respects the privacy of users and can remove their data directly from the application.
Kempaga does not provide user data to third parties outside of the Kempaga platform.
Sensitive and Personal User Data
In accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data (General Data Protection Regulation – GDPR), Kempaga informs users of the application about the processing of personal data, which they have voluntarily provided during the registration process, access and use of the service.
1. PURPOSE OF DATA PROCESSING
To proceed with the registration, access and subsequent use of the Application, the User must provide personal data (essentially identification and contact data, and Android ID), which will be incorporated into automated media owned by Kempaga.
The collection, storage, modification, structuring and, where appropriate, elimination of the data provided by the Users will constitute processing operations carried out in order to ensure the proper functioning of the Application, maintain the relationship of provision of services and/or commercial relationship with the User, and for the management, administration, information, provision and improvement of the service.
The personal data provided by the User, especially the electronic mail (email), may also be used to send newsletters and commercial communications of promotions and/or advertising of the Application, provided that the User has previously given express consent to receive these communications electronically.
2. LEGITIMACY
The processing of the User’s data is carried out with the following legal bases:
- The request for information and/or contracting of the services of the Application, whose terms and conditions will be made available to the User in advance for express acceptance.
- The free, specific, informed and unequivocal consent of the User through acceptance of this privacy policy.
In the event that the User does not provide Kempaga with the required data, it will not be possible to proceed with the use of the Application.
3. CONSERVATION OF PERSONAL DATA
The personal data provided by the User will be kept in the systems and databases of Kempaga for as long as the User continues to use the Application and does not request its deletion.
To comply with legal responsibilities, the data will be kept for a minimum period of five years.
4. RECIPIENTS
The data will not be communicated to any third party outside Kempaga, nor disclosed or published unless required by law or with the User’s consent.
Kempaga may give access to personal data to third-party service providers strictly for the purpose of providing services on behalf of Kempaga and under data processing agreements.
5. DATA RETENTION
Kempaga may retain certain information for a maximum period of 12 months to identify the origin of hosted data and the time at which the service was initiated, in accordance with applicable laws.

Kempaga takes the necessary measures to ensure the security, integrity and confidentiality of the data in accordance with GDPR regulations.
